  • Mycelia House is a home cultivation system for growing oyster mushrooms, inspired by DIY bucket grows and cardboard spray-and-grow kits.

    It’s designed for oyster mushroom varieties that side fruit, with top-fruiting varieties coming soon.

    The terracotta design leverages its natural wicking properties to create an ideal microclimate for mushroom growth. Simply add water to the tray and lightly mist around the vessel twice daily.

    Mushrooms typically begin fruiting within 5–7 days.

    Each Mycelia House includes a grow guide booklet to support you on your cultivation journey.

    Please note: mushroom growth substrate is sold separately.

  • Material: Terracotta clay, harvested in Australia. Chosen for its porous properties and ability to regulate humidity.

    Glaze: Internals have a gloss coating. Designed for strengthening vessel and for easy cleaning. Glaze is food safe.

  • Made in small batches in Sydney, Australia, our products combine the emerging technology of ceramic 3D printing with traditional handcrafted techniques.

    The ceramics are durable and designed to last with proper care.

    Used mushroom substrate can be returned to the earth to enrich soil.

    Plastic bags should be disposed of in the bin. We are exploring bio-plastic alternatives for mushroom cultivation and plan to transition when available and viable.

    Alternatively, you can create your own substrate and place it directly into the pot!

  • To clean, wash with warm water using a soft sponge. No soaps, abrasives or detergents when caring for your ceramics. Allow time for drying.

  • Australia:

    Shipping is $25 for the Mycelia House design and a flat rate of $10 for each substrate purchase. If Mycelia House is listed as in stock, your order will be dispatched within 5–10 business days. Tracking details will be provided once your parcel has been sent. Orders that include pre-order items will be shipped together once those items become available. Fulfilment begins from the date noted on the relevant pre-order product page.

    International:
    At this stage, we don’t offer international shipping - but we’re working on making this available soon!
