Natural to low light
Fresh air exchange
Consistent humidity
Daily water application
Best placed indoors in lived-in spaces such as the kitchen, dining, or lounge room. Choose a spot with natural light but no direct sunlight, and where there’s occasional airflow - for example, near a window or door that’s opened throughout the day.
Position it somewhere visible, so it becomes part of your daily rhythm and easy to remember to mist around the vessel with water each day. Keep away from air conditioning or heating sources.

Meet your growers - Ruffle Farm
“This is us: Jess & Joel at Ruffle Farm, our gourmet mushroom growing biz born from a desire to pursue farming (somehow) in our beloved Inner West.
With a history of hobby-cultivation, and inspired by a stint working on organic farms across Europe, we created Ruffle Farm to share those gorgeous mushroom varieties you don’t see too much in our community.
Since we grow local, it’s our goal to get our shroomies to you asap. We don’t want none of that slimy plastic-wrapped funk invading our stores no more!”
-
As a small business and collaboration with Ruffle Farm, all orders will be fulfilled every Monday and you will receive this within 2-3 days.
-
A flat rate of $10 for each substrate purchase. Tracking details will be provided once your parcel has been sent.
-
Made in small batches in Sydney, Australia.
Used mushroom substrate can be returned to the earth to enrich soil. Plastic grow bags should be disposed of in the bin - while bio-plastic alternatives are actively being explored and will be adopted when viable.

For best results, begin your kit as soon as possible. Other oyster varieties can be refrigerated for up to 4 months, although not pink oysters.
Fruiting Temperature: 18°C – 30°C
Pink Oysters love warmth and humidity - they don’t tolerate cold. Cooler spaces? Try Blue or White Oyster Kits.
