Yellow Oyster Substrate

A beginner level grow kit that can be used on its own or with Mycelia House. You will receive a mycelium substrate block, infused with Pink Oyster Mushroom Variety. To activate your kit, slice holes in the packaging where is indicated, spray twice a day with clean water, and within 10 days your mushrooms will be fruiting and ready to pick! Further instructions below.

  • Start: For best results, begin your kit as soon as possible.

    Care:

    • Spray twice daily to keep the substrate moist.

    • In a Mycelia House, fill the tray so terracotta wicks moisture up the vessel.

    Time to Harvest: 5–7 days

    Fruiting Temperature: 18°C – 30°C
    Pink Oysters love warmth and humidity—they don’t tolerate cold. Cooler spaces? Try Blue or White Oyster Kits.

    Harvest:

    • First flush yields enough for 1–2 people.

    • Pick when colour fades and before edges fully curl.

    • A second flush may be possible. Afterwards, return substrate to your garden to enrich the soil.

    Storage:

    • Pink Oysters are delicate—best used fresh.

    • Other oyster varieties can be refrigerated for up to 4 months, although not pink oysters.
